Rant time. I don’t expect anyone to read this.
I know my parents aren’t very strict, and I’m thankful for that, but I don’t think they realize how ridiculous they are being.
First, I came home at 12:30 last night. They only knew this because my mother was actually home for once. Every other Friday and Saturday night, I come home at 1 or 2. Maybe my Dad would pay attention and my mother would be home on the weekends more often, they’d know I stay out later. It’s not even like I’m doing anything bad, I don’t do bad things. I’m just at Jake’s house, usually just watching T.V. and eating. Do they not realize how lucky they are to have a teenage child who doesn’t go out and party, or do illegal things on the weekend?
Second, I accidentally tapped two other vehicles with mine. There was no damage. My bratty little brother had to tell on me for that. So now if I do this again or stay out late again, I get my car taken away. I know I’m not 18 yet, but why do they have any right to take my car away from me? Yes, it’s in my fathers name, but I’m the one who pays the damn payments every month. 150 for car payments and 100 for insurance. Plus 80 bucks for gas a month. I spend 330 dollars for my car a month. I’m 17 and work a minimum wage job. I don’t have extra money to buy things I want because all my money goes towards my car. I just think taking my car away from me would be ridiculous. If I can’t drive it, they can pay for it. I don’t think they realize how many kids my age have actually gotten into wrecks, get pulled over and get fined. This hasn’t happened to me, I’m not really a bad driver, even though my brother tells them I am. But he just fucking turned 13, what the fuck would he know about driving? I don’t see why they would listen to him.
But all in all, I wonder if they just ever realize they should be grateful that I’m not a normal teenager. I don’t get in trouble, I don’t do bad things.
Okay. I’m done now.
